Kali holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications Studies and an after-degree in Psychology with First Class Honours from the University of Calgary. Most recently, she also earned her Master of Education degree in School & Applied Child Psychology from the University of Calgary. Kali has also completed additional professional development in trauma, social skills, gifted identification, and innovations in youth mental health.

Kali has been trained in administering a broad range of psychological assessment measures to conduct psycho-social, behavioral, cognitive and academic assessments with children and youth referred for psychoeducational concerns such as ADHD, Specific Learning Disorders, Development Coordination Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Mood Disorders, Psychosis Risk, and more. Her training in counselling and treatment includes cognitive behavioural therapy, family-focused therapy for young people and their families, as well as in support and psychoeducation for individual youth and young adults.

Kali is passionate about connecting with people. Whether in a therapeutic or assessment setting, she is dedicated to taking a personalized approach to help clients identify their strengths and potential, while helping them to uncover the source of their challenges. Dr. Ashley Coveney completed her undergraduate degree and PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Saskatchewan. She fulfilled her doctoral internship with the Kingston Internship Consortium in Kingston, Ontario, where she provided assessment and therapy to children, youth, and adults within both hospital and community settings. While completing her post-secondary education in a clinical psychology generalist program, Dr. Ashley Coveney gained experience with a variety of client ages, mental health concerns, abilities, and backgrounds pertaining to therapy, assessment, and consultation.

Ashley’s education included instruction on a wide range of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Interpersonal Psychotherapy. Ashley is highly competent treating a wide range of presenting concerns including anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, and other mental health issues, as well as adapting mental health treatment for those with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or an Intellectual Disability.

Ashley is passionate about supporting a diverse range of clients with varying areas of concern. Katie has a Master of Science in School and Applied Child Psychology from the University of Calgary and completed her practicum hours at the Calgary Board of Education, as well as the University of Calgary’s Integrated Services in Education clinic. She has been a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists since 2022, and her provisional training was completed under the supervision of Dr. Kanciruk.

Katie is trained in and primarily utilizes cognitive behavioral and solution-focused techniques in her counselling approach. Her areas of interest include work with anxiety disorders, autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Katie has a strong clinical background in both individual and group counselling as well as psychoeducational assessment, including a wealth of experience working with clients with neurodevelopmental disorders.

Katie is passionate about empowering her clients with the proper tools to reach their full potential through high-quality, relationship-first services.
